Pallidal Somatotopy Suggested by Deep Brain Stimulation in a Patient with Dystonia.

Neurology. 2013 Jan 30.

The response of dystonia to deep brain stimulation (DBS) is variable among patients, and an important factor in determining outcome is the precise location of stimulation. For globus pallidus interna (GPi) stimulation, the posteroventrolateral subregion is considered the optimal "target within a target" for dystonia.
